DAY 6 - Ancient Olympia

 DATE: Monday, June 29 (Day 8): Ancient Olympia & Archimedes Museum



NOTES:  

The day began with morning fitness along the beach and the pier, and took a turn after our circuit training when Ms. Cade spotted a turtle near one of the boats. We quickly noticed it was caught in a fishing line and did our best to embrace our inner Archelon and help it. It was a humbling experience and one where the knowledge and resources of the locals was key! 


We left for our Olympia excursion and got to check out the ancient site. Museum and then explore the town and Archimedes museum. The Grade 8s read their letters from home after dinner and it was a lovely reminder of home.
